EnergyCAP Utility Company Platform is designed to help utility companies streamline and easily submit customer data to ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager®. The platform replaces cumbersome and manual processes for your customers to request access to their utility bill and smart meter data, complete pdf or written data release forms, and link to Portfolio Manager accounts.

EnergyCAP Utility Company Platform also provides in-depth energy analysis and reporting tools to assist commercial clients with energy efficiency, M&V, interval data analysis, normalization, and tracking savings.

How pricing works

In the initial purchase year of EnergyCAP, there are two main fees, an annual subscription fee and a one-time fee.

The annual subscription fee is based on the software features you select and the number of meters (points-of-service) to be tracked. The license subscription also provides hosting services, access to technical support, and regular software upgrades. CAPture Services are included in the annual fees if optioned.

The one-time fees are for professional startup and setup services based on the scope of work to get EnergyCAP implemented and your staff trained.

What is a meter?

EnergyCAP licenses are based on the number of meters to be tracked. Each unique point of service that has a use, cost, reading, or GHG value counts as a meter. These points are the commodities found on a utility bill and tracked by utility accounts (electric, gas, oil, propane, refuse, recycling, water, sewer, etc.) or are commodity values important to track for reporting purposes (occupancy, production, miles driven, miles flown, etc.). Typically, one utility bill account includes one meter (electric) however some utility accounts are summaries and include multiple meters or commodities (electric and gas). Other utilities do not have a physical meter (trash, recycling, sewer, or telecom) but are still tracked as a meter. Additionally, any cost allocation or tenant account based on submeters, formulas, or splits are setup as meters.

Implementation & training

To ensure successful deployment of EnergyCAP, we offer implementation and training services tailored to meet your organization’s needs. An experienced project manager will be assigned to work with you and will lead the implementation project to its successful completion. Behind the project manager stands a talented support team with decades of combined implementation experience. Our project management staff includes Certified Energy Managers (CEM) and Business Energy Professionals (BEP), as certified by the Association of Energy Engineers.

Licensing

EnergyCAP is a Software-as-a-Service platform with an annual subscription. Our comprehensive Software Subscription Agreement is available for download and review. The agreement includes, as appropriate, details on license terms, database hosting services, maintenance and support services, professional services, and CAPture services. A sales associate can provide additional details on licensing and our services upon request.
