One of this season’s most popular TV shows was a science fiction series called Under the Dome.

Loosely based on the novel by Stephen King, the show explores the dynamics of human relationships when the small town of Chester’s Mill is isolated from the outside world by a strange invisible barrier. The dramatic possibilities posed by this scenario range from the terrifying (murder, mystery and mayhem are all there) to the grimly comedic (nearly everyone knows about the cow that was cut, er, caught between both sides).
