EnergyCAP CEO Challenges Corporations to Track Energy

EnergyCAP CEO Steve Heinz has thrown down a gauntlet to corporations across the country: Make better use of your valuable utility bill data.

Heinz issued his challenge in the latest issue of Corp! Magazine in an article titled Track Your Energy Costs and Consumption Patterns. He pointed out that historical, accurate and regular measurements of energy cost and consumption, and identification of that cost and consumption with specific places provides the foundation for evaluation of any energy conservation efforts.

Heinz also pointed out key factors in energy analysis, such as accounting for weather differences when comparing energy data from year to year. He pointed out the value of using widely-accepted benchmarks for building energy performance, such as the ENERGY STAR program.
