Facility and energy benchmarking

The EnergyCAP UtilityManagement benchmarking tool compares and visualizes the performance of similar buildings and meters. Group members can be compared by cost-per-area and per-day, use-per-area and per-day, peak demand, and unit cost.

There are multiple ways to organize and compare your data:

Automatic Groups are maintained by EnergyCAP UtilityManagement based on distinct attributes. You can add attributes to buildings and meters and create as many automatic groups as needed.

Manual Groups let you add and remove members as needed. Popular groups, for example, include “Top 10” most intensive for energy use, cost, or use/cost per square foot.

Custom Building Benchmarks give you an additional method to group and rank your buildings by factors such as use or cost per student, hours of use, or production output. Custom Building Benchmarks:

• provide flexibility to account for unique situations.
• provide a basis for taking energy management actions.
