Photos from the Catalyst Conference

On May 14-16, 110 EnergyCAP users from the US and Canada gathered in State College, PA, for the annual Catalyst Training Conference.

Over the course of three days, users received training from 34 different sessions, networked during user group meetings and industry lunches, met with EnergyCAP staff, and attended social events.

I had a great time and learned a lot. I want everyone in my organization to go to Catalyst!

The training did its job well and was broke up enough that I didn’t get bored or sleepy. I felt like I got a lot out of it and will likely attend again in the future.

I will definitely recommend it to our Energy manager to attend.

Steve Heinz, PE, CEM, and Founder and CEO of EnergyCAP, Inc. gave the keynote address.

During Catalyst, ten different trainers presented on the online and installed versions of EnergyCAP in various tracks for Beginner and Advanced users.

John Pierce, CEM and CVMP, specializes in submeter and percentage-based chargebacks.

Matthew Heinz directs customer support and trained on the Pro Online version, available to over 800 school districts and other organizations.

Ryan Ohlson, BEP, introduced the new Software Retro Commissioning service being offered by EnergyCAP, Inc.

But Catalyst wasn’t just about the training. A variety of social events provided attendees opportunities to unwind and relax after training.

There was Happy Hour.

At Happy Hour, EnergyCAP employees Barry and Kurt Kroeker treated us to their musical talents.

We toured the headquarters of international weather expert AccuWeather, which provides weather data for EnergyCAP and WeatherDataDepot.com.

 AccuWeather Founder and CEO, Dr. Joel Myers, greeted us in the lobby.

Another unique part of Catalyst was the annual chaplain’s breakfast, hosted by EnergyCAP’s company chaplain. This year, Chris Heinz, VP of Marketing, spoke on the connection between Gallup’s StrengthsFinder and prayer, from his new book, Made to Pray. About 75 people registered for the breakfast.
