Great news! We’ve totally redesigned EnergyCAP.com to better serve our website visitors. While there are many things I like—no love—about our new website, I’ll highlight my seven favorite things:
Focus on You
Good websites are all about you, the honorable website visitor. The new site helps you find your comfort zone and interests from your very first stop. Our home page helps you choose your path through the site, starting with your industry sector. If you don’t find your niche right away, just click on “Who Are You?” in the top navigation and we’ll take you to a page where you can explore the various options more thoroughly. Once you’ve found your sector, you can learn which features are most popular with your peers, and discover some of the organizations already using EnergyCAP.
Stellar Look
We want you to enjoy being on our website, so we redesigned it with more white space for reading, a more attractive layout, real pictures of EnergyCAP staff (instead of stock photos with models), lots of graphics and screen shots from our software products, and cool photography. The new site is mobile device-friendly, and will automatically serve the best experience for your screen size.
Easy Access to Resources
Our previous website had many helpful resources like case studies, demos, downloads, eBooks, infographics, videos, and webinars on demand. But they weren’t easy to get to. With the new site, our Resource Library is just one click from wherever you are. Just select “Resources” in the top navigation menu. All resources are organized to help you find just what you need!
Improved Blog Format
Our EnergyCAP Blog keeps growing in readership, and we wanted to improve the reading experience. Our new blog offers an updated look, larger font for reading, and more white space for an uncluttered feel.
Client Map
Want to know if EnergyCAP users are near you? The client map on our Clients page shows pins where our users are. Each pin is labeled by Sector, City, State and ZIP. Zoom out to see the pins cluster. Zoom in to see just the ones in your area. Click and drag to move the map around. I love this feature!
Scrolling Feature
Tired of scrolling through web pages that go on and on? You’re going to love our section navigation feature. Do me a favor: click on this link, then hover your mouse over the “Bill Management” link in the green navigation menu (about midway down the page, on the far left). See all those topic options? Now click “Workflow Management” and … wwhheeee—there you go. The section link will take you right to it. If you need a cheap activity to amuse your kids, just let them click around. Seriously, this is a great time-saver for getting around in our content-rich pages.
Easy Next Steps
Don’t you hate it when you want to do something on a website and can’t figure out how? With this redesign, we’ve put key actions for website visitors (such as Attend Webinar, Watch Demo, Contact Us, or Login) in the primary navigation so taking the next step is easy.
